How we engage

Priced per phase, so you can stop at any of them.

Three levels of engagement, each one a natural stopping point. You approve and pay for one phase at a time, and you see how the number was built before you agree to it.

Levels

Three ways this goes

Every engagement starts at level one. Whether it goes further is decided at the end of it, with the findings in front of you.

  1. Consultation & light touch report

Thorough consultation to understand the challenge, then a concise report setting out the problem and an overview of the potential solutions from our solution think tank. A preliminary assessment that aligns our understanding with yours.

IncludesConsultation · Light touch report or presentation

  2. In-depth consultation & detailed report

The full analysis. Multiple options generated, modelled and assessed, with the diverse perspectives on the team argued out rather than averaged. You receive the models, not screenshots of them.

IncludesConsultation · Presentation · Full analysis report

  3. Recommendation implementation

Recommendations tailored to your goals, plus the delivery of them. Either as a PMO handbook your team runs, or with FourPhase running the rollout, at the level of involvement you choose.

IncludesEverything above · PMO handbook · Optional rollout by FourPhase

Pricing

How a number is built

There is no day rate and no fixed package. A phase is estimated in hours, each hour is attributed to the person doing it at their own rate, and a fixed 20 per cent is added on top to cover the cost of running the firm. GST is added last.

All four of those appear on the quote. If a phase runs under estimate you are invoiced for what was used, and if it looks like running over you hear about it before it does, not afterwards.

The 20 per cent

It covers software, insurance, equipment and the cost of consultation itself. It is the same on every engagement and it is stated on every quote.

What to expect

The practical answers

How does an engagement start?

With a conversation, at no cost. If there is something we can help with, you receive a scope and a price for the first phase only. Nothing else is quoted until that phase is done.

Who actually does the work?

The named people on the quote. We are four people, so the person who presents the findings is the person who did the analysis.

What if we want to stop?

You stop. Everything produced up to that point is yours, including the live financial models, in a form your own team can pick up.

How are you invoiced?

Per phase, on completion, unless a longer delivery phase makes monthly invoicing more sensible. Agreed in writing before the phase starts.

Do you work retainer?

Not by default. If continuing support genuinely suits the work we will say so, but the phased model exists precisely so you are not committed to an open ended arrangement.

Where do you work?

Australia wide, on site where the work needs it and remotely where it does not. Travel is quoted separately and only when it is necessary.

Next step

Ask for a scope on the first phase

Describe the problem and we will come back with a scope and a price for phase one. No obligation, and no quote for work you have not agreed to.
